Mani-Pedi combo...
... Pronto!
Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner. That means it is officially flip-flop season, that is unless you are like me and flip-flops are a year round shoe. You know what this means right? Time to pull off those thick winter socks and tend to your toes! Here are some basic tips for nail care, as well as some fun styles, ideas for nails, and my prediction on the next big color.
NAIL CARE
~Wash hands in warm water using a mild soap and a nail brush
~Gently push back cuticles but do not over trim
~File nails in one direction to avoid splitting
~Don't bite your nails.
~And Never EVER pull off a hangnail. Always cut it using nail scissors so it doesn't tear.
HOT COLORS
Cream Nail Polish... Safe but Sultry

Navy Blue Nail Polish ... Like It
Black Nail Polish ... Love It

Gold Nail Polish ... Gotta Have It!
I call this is going to be the next big trend in nails.

FUN TRICKS AND TIPS

These new Nail Art pens are great. You can use them to draw cute little flowers or whatever you want on your nails. I have tried everything I could think of and I could never get my designs to look as good as they do at the salon... but these make it so much easier!

One of my favorite things to do during the summer is.... Watermelon Toes! It is so easy! You paint all your toes a bright pink color of your choice... preferably a watermelon shade.. ha.. Then you use either a normal polish brush or one of the Nail Art pens to paint the tips green(kind of like french tips). After that I use to use a sharpy to draw black dots for the seeds. I haven't tried doing it with the Nail Art pens but I would imagine that it would work just fine.
Paint away! and remember... Dads HATE the smell of nail polish... So do it in a different room. Or better do it outside while catching some sun!
